All dog lovers have had a dream to house a Siberian husky in their homes. Their fluffy fur and stark eyes, which are more often than not blue, are all features that any cynophile would instantly fall for. However, this dog breed is often too huge to fit into an Indian metropolitan residence, much to an urban cynophile’s dismay.

While Siberian huskies have been marked as ancestors of ancient Siberian wolves, studies suggest they have no more similarities to the wolves than regular dogs. The only link between the two would be the environment they emerged within.

However, people often like to compare the two together. 

Whatever the DNA sketch of the two looks like, few can deny that huskies appear to have some similarities with wolves. In their sharp features and pointy ears, the two species do intertwine.

Recently, a Twitter user shared an adorable image of a husky standing next to a wolf. The striking size difference between the two shocked and entertained the internet and soon the picture was viral. It gained over 25 million views online as people shared their reactions to the post.

Today Years Old's Twitter page shared the image and wrote, “A husky next to a wolf. My entire life, I thought they were the size of dogs. I’ve been heavily mistaken.”

People Reacted To The Dog And The Wolf's Stark Difference In Size 

People online were in awe of the picture and rushed in to share their thoughts on the image. One user lined up and joked, “That husky also thought they were the same size before this meeting.”

One gentleman shared a video of their husky going up to a wolf dog much larger than the former in real life, “There’s a wolf-dog in my neighbourhood. My Siberian is 50 LBS and looks like a pup compared to that beast.”

One fellow shared their experience with trying to domesticate a malamute hybrid, “My uncle had a malamute hybrid out in the country when I was a kid, he was kind of a wild animal that showed up, and he took in.”

He continued, “scariest looking, but he was actually the sweetest when it came to humans. However, once I remember seeing him chase a deer down across the field, it became very apparent that these are not domesticated animals.”
